Charity Donations Christmas 2006 23rd December 2006 This is a copy of a feature in local community magazines Helping those who need help in their time of need is an every day occurrence for Nicholas O’Hara Funeral Directors, but for this Christmas the local family owned and run business decided to help those who have been connected with helping them during 2006. For the second year running they decided too help two charities in this area who they felt had been close to them. Anthony, Nicholas’ son choose the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance as his daughter Shannon had been airlifted to hospital during the summer after a horse riding accident, while Steven Wilton (Nicholas’ son-in-law) choose Cystic Fibrosis Trust as both he and his wife Natalie had become very aware of this prior to the birth of their son Harley who even though was born healthy, had tests done prior to his birth in December 2005. Nicholas said “It’s usual for us as a business to show our appreciation at Christmas to those we work beside but for a change we decided that we would also like to positively support two local organisations who had been such a huge support to us and this has been warmly welcomed also by those we work beside in the local community. The quick reactions of the air ambulance to aid my grand-daughter when she was in great pain and the work the cystic fibrosis trust do in research and support to all who need are both worthy choices”. Pictured are Anthony and Steven presenting the cheques for £500 each to local representatives of the two charities at their Wimborne premises just before Christmas. |
