Anthony O’Hara was again honoured to be able on behalf of the company arrange and conduct the full military funeral of Wimborne soldier Trooper Andrew Howarth killed in action in Afghanistan in September. Andrew was a third generation Queen’s Royal Lancer, something which he and his family were so proud of.

The funeral attracted much media and public attention and was a very humbling and emotional funeral to be involved with and the people of Wimborne again came to show their support for a true hero and son of the Town.

The funeral held at Wimborne Minster was attended by over 700 people with around 3000 more paying their respects to the young hero on his final journey from his home in Wimborne.

Many fund raising events are planned for the future to raise awareness and funds for Andrew’s families chosen charity of the Troop Aid. If you wish to make a donation to this charity in memory of Andrew please contact us and we will be able to help in this.
