Nicholas O’Hara Funeral Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Johnson as a new funeral director within the family business. Chris gained his diploma in funeral directing in 2011 and has since helped arrange and conduct a wide variety of funerals within the local area and this local knowledge and experience is what the company had been searching for to continue the high standards they wish to achieve with all funerals.
Chris felt honoured to be given the opportunity to join the family owned and run business, to work also alongside their six other Diploma holding funeral directors, something the company is also very proud of, and is looking forward to being able to help their business grow and develop further. Chris said “having worked for other non-family owned businesses in the past it has been such a positive difference to come and work with a true family business where the families we care for are the most important thing, were not dictated to by outside ownership or shareholders, we can help each family make their loved ones funeral special and unique to them as we are not constrained to what we can offer and how much time we can give in supporting them in every detail”.
One of his new roles will also be to assist Anthony in helping people who wish to pre-plan their own funerals, something which has become increasingly popular to do, where the arrangements are made in as much detail as a person wishes and then the money is placed into the Golden Charter Trust to safeguard it for the future when it is needed. Anthony said “This trust is now the largest of its type in the UK and we believe offers the best service, safeguards and payment options available on the market. Chris and his wife April are looking forward to becoming parents for the first time this summer and his interests outside of work include managing and playing for a local Sunday football team and lots of DIY in preparation for his new arrival.
