Our Nicholas O'Hara Funeral Directors Funeral Home in Wimborne is situated on Rowlands Hill. This is where the company started from in 1974 when Nicholas along with his father Alfred (Pat), and his mother Brenda, converted Somerleigh Court, from a Nursing Home into what remains our Head offices today.

The facilities here include 3 viewing chapels of rest; a state of the art mortuary and theatre; garaging for their fleet of stunning Jaguar hearse and limousines; 2 family lounges; funeral director offices; workshop; disabled access and facilities; parking and home to the main admin and accounts team. In 2015 the company acquired the property which was the original coach house to the main building, and converted this into the new garaging, workshop and staff accommodation. In 2022 a full refurbishment of the chapels and offices was undertaken.

We can help to plan religious and non-religious funeral services and serve many different faiths. Our experienced and caring team will advise and support you at every stage of the funeral planning process, with a wide range of options and transparent pricing.

Our Wimborne funeral home is open Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm. We are always available on the telephone 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

Our premises has been purposely designed to create a calming and welcoming environment in which families can discuss arrangements in complete comfort and privacy being assured of a caring and personal service at all times. This service can also be offered in the comfort of your own home if preferred.
