Nicholas and Anthony O’Hara were pleased to present to Chris Slocock, a cheque in support of his amazing effort to walk 1316 laps of The Minster Church here in Wimborne.
Chris originaly planned for 900 laps, but when he hit this milestone was encouraged to 1316, which is the age of the oldest part of this historic church. The money raised will be used for different music projects within Wimborne Minster aimed mainly at the local youth and community.
The Minster Church is such an important landmark in our community and it was great to support the work they are doing within our community. By the time Chris finishes he will have walked over 6 marathons, quite a distance!
Chris said “Whatever you might believe about God it makes sense to support our young people at this time and through the Minster we want to do as much as possible to build music in the community.”
