Nicholas O’Hara are pleased to announce that from Monday 3rd November 2014 the online donations made in memory of a person will be handled by Memory Giving a dedicated website for funeral directors in the collection and administration of donations.
The main reason for this change was that the new system allows Gift Aid to be added to the donation if applicable and then passed onto the chosen charity. It will also allow more personalisation for donors as they are able to leave a message and once the lists close after 6 weeks the pages remain open so that further donations can be made direct to the charity of choice.
Cheques are still accepted and these too are added to the individual’s unique page but Gift Aid can not be claimed on these. Cash donations are no longer accepted.
